To Make Your Backyard The Coziest Room Of The House? Add An Outdoor FirePit To Your Patio
Jake could barely keep himself from daydreaming about the huge variety of outdoor
firepits he had looked at over the past few days. He knew this would be the best Halloween his family had ever seen. As usual, there
would be scary costumes for his boys, Zach and Taylor. Sweet little Hannah would, of course, opt for a pretty princess or Barbie
costume.
There would be big bags of candy and he would
inevitably take a sample or two from each. There would be sticky popcorn balls and candied apples, fall specialties made by his loving wife
Melanie. Jake could almost hear the giggles of trick-or-treaters echoing throughout the neighborhood and the crunching of fall leaves
beneath his feet. As you can imagine, Jake begins looking forward to Halloween as soon as the autumn breeze begins.
Still, this year means far more than just candy and
costumes. As he and Melanie had already agreed, they were finally going to buy an outdoor patio
firepit for their backyard. They dreamed of outdoor evening entertaining for years. More than
that, they wanted a special place for family time and their very own special backyard
retreat.

“I’m so ready to shop,” said Melanie. “I guess we
better get going before it gets too late. Every place will be packed on a Saturday.”
“Actually, I think we’ll stay here,” Jake
replied casually. He looked up from the laptop just in time to see his wife’s smile start to fade. “What’s that look for? We’re still going to
shop for firepits, and we’re going to do it without fighting the crowds.”
“Did you find a good website? Is that what you have
on the laptop?” Melanie asked rushing to his side.
The first outdoor
firepit that grabbed their attention was the Landmann California Campfire Outdoor Fireplace. Jake loved the deep, rich look of the wood. Melanie, thinking of the kids,
was happy to read that the wood on this outdoor fireplace stays cool. Both liked the heavy duty cover designed to keep the fireplace in good
shape.
“I really like that one,” Jake said mousing over
toward the “add item to cart” button.
“Not so fast,” Melanie said gently nudging him. “We have to shop
around.”
It wasn’t long before the Patina Evening Sky
Firepit became the hot topic of conversation.
“I really like that it doubles as a grill,” Jake
exclaimed. “Can you imagine how great this would be for camping trips? I could grill my famous kabobs in
the afternoon. Then, we’ll make Hannah’s s’mores and tell campfire stories at night. I can just see
it.”
“I love the look of it,” Melanie said chiming in.
“I think it would be ideal for our camping trips, but let’s just keep browsing.”
A few clicks later, they found the Patina Embossed Firepit. Within seconds, Melanie was in love.
“That is gorgeous!” she exclaimed. “It’s perfect
for our patio.” She eagerly placed her hand over Jake’s and moved the cursor near the infamous “add to cart” button.
“I like this one too. The antique copper would look
nice with some of the backyard decor we have out there. It’s definitely one of my favorites of the free standing
outdoor firepits, but I think we should look at a couple more,” he replied with a grin. Melanie nudged him again, chuckling because
she had so quickly become the overeager one.
“Ah, now here’s a nice one,” Jake said pointing the
cursor toward the Diamond Mesh FirePit. “The shape is similar to the embossed firepit we just saw but this one is black.”
“Yes, it looks even more contemporary,” Melanie commented. “It’s just so hard to
decide.”
“Let’s just look at one more. I’ve been saving this
one for last,” Jake said. He already had a certain item pulled up on a separate web page.
At first, all Melanie could do was stare. She was
looking at the Palomino Fire Table with Tiger Skin Granite Top. She imagined how perfect it would be for ghost stories and fireside
chatting with her kids. She imagined the taste of the roasted marshmallows! To top it all off, this fire table was beautiful, contemporary and inviting.
"We agreed that this would be our Christmas present
to each other. What do you think?" Jake asked excitedly.
"I think I feel like spoiling us early this year,"
she replied as a smile spread across her face. "And, it will be just in time for Halloween. It's going to be the best one
yet. I can't wait to tell the kids."
